Jump into Socks!
In this class, we will cover the basics of sock knitting. You will knit a pair of socks using the Regia “Pairfect” yarn which ensures a highly patterned pair of socks that match… and the yarn does all the work!
These simple socks will be knit top down. During Class 1, we will talk about determining sizes, stitch counts, gauge, and needle options and get our socks on the needles. You will learn the Fish Lips Kiss heel in class 2. Class 3 will be all about learning the Kitchener Stitch and casting on for your second sock. My motto is “no second sock syndrome”!
Ability to knit, purl, cast-on.
Skein of Regia Pairfect yarn (do not cast on!) which comes prewound.
Needles in either a 2.25 mm or a 2.50 mm size. You can choose to use double-pointed needles, two circulars (24”) or a longer circular (32” suggested) if you would like to use or learn the Magic Loop technique.
