Introduction to Weaving with Nature 1/8 Sunday 1pm-3pm
Combine the wonder of textiles with nature as we each create a weaving to take home. No previous weaving experience is necessary.
You will learn:
-How to warp your small frame loom and how to weave on it using natural plant materials and yarn.
-How to finish your weaving and remove it from the loom or you may keep it on the loom as it comes with a stand to display your work.
The Hello! Loom, natural plant materials, and yarn will be provided however you may wish to bring scissors, any natural plant material, or yarn of your choosing.
The loom is yours to keep after the workshop.
This workshop is taught by Linda Nickel, a fiber arts instructor and a docent at the Harn Museum of Art in Gainesville Florida who encourages people to "never stop learning ".
