Description: Learn to crochet this basic granny square, popular in the 1970’s and now making resurgence. From here you can go on to many variations of a square and incorporate them into garments or blankets.

Materials: Two different colored skeins of Berroco Comfort (worsted) or Berroco Vintage (worsted), size H (5 mm) hook, scissors, yarn needle. Pattern provided by instructor.

Pre-requisites: Students should know how to do a double crochet stitch.

Homework: Wind skeins of yarn into a ball, if needed, prior to beginning of class.

Skills Taught: This is a beginner+ pattern. Students will learn how to crochet corners and sides to build up the square, read the written pattern as well as a chart and add on a second color.

Minimum # of Students: 3

Maximum # of Students: 6
